Company Investment in Hybrid vehicle fleet

In line with our commitment to environmental and ethical practices, we have recently invested in a fleet of hybrid cars for our assessors, to ensure that we reduce our carbon footprint and put out a positive advert to our clients and other Companies.

The new fleet consists of Honda Insight, Jazz and CRZ Hybrid Vehicles, which use electric motors to assist the petrol engine.

Stephen Kennedy, who looks after the fleet explains 'The Honda range was ideal for us, because it provides our assessors and surveyors with an ideal solution to reduce emissions and environmental impact while travelling both short and long distances. We looked at electric-only vehicles but their 100-mile range was too restricted for the Nationwide coverage we provide to our clients. In addition, Honda as a group have a very strong Renewables policy and invest heavily in Solar PV plants for their factories. This fits in well with our own ethos.

Paul Rushton of Greenacre Honda adds 'We are very proud to be involved with Renewable Solutions™. They have had 10-vehicles from us in recent months, and it is good to see our hybrid technology being advertised by such a Specialist Renewables Installer. Honda UK are aware of the investment and intend to advertise the purchase to show the merits of using hybrid vehicles for business use'.

The vehicles produce CO2 emissions of just 101(g/km) and return up to 60mpg.
