2kW PV - Malpas

Our client approached us to design a PV system to enable him to generate his own electricity.

There was just one problem....the installation was proposed to be fitted to a protected bat-loft!
We met with the client, surveyed the site and agreed a system size that worked with his budget. We liaised with DEFRA to obtain the relevant consents to install to the south-facing elevation of the bat-loft.

DEFRA approved the installation because, among other things, it was believed that the roof installation would further help retain heat inside the loft.

The installation was completed over a 2-day period, with the system inverter and isolators being housed inside the lower garage area of the building.
